Ginger Tea
Makes 3-4 cups
Ingredients
- 1 quart water
- 2 inches fresh ginger root
- 2 mint tea bags
- Honey (only add honey when water cooled to drinkable temperature)
- Lemon
Preparation
- Boil water in a saucepan or tea pot.
- Peel and mash ginger and add to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 — 45 minutes, depending on how pungent you want the tea to be.
- Strain and add honey for VATA and KAPHA and lemon juice for VATA if desired.
