Reiki Master Practitioner in the Usui tradition
Irmgard has been learning Reiki through Keesha’s training classes since 2009 and was attuned to the Master level in September 2010.
Since her first exposure to Reiki, her spiritual growth journey has really taken off and she now also pursues other interests in the alternative healing arts.
One of her passions is her large vegetable and herb garden that has been growing every year since its inception in 2008. There is no better way toward moving to minimally processed and organic foods than to go out to the garden and collect your own fresh ingredients for a meal.
Recently Irmgard has started to study Herbal Sciences and Phytotherapy. She is fascinated by the fact that throughout the ages, we used to have a much more intimate relationship with plants. We knew how to use and honor them not only because they provide us our daily food, but also for a sense of beauty, healing and ultimately all energy that sustains our vitality and life.
Plants carry an inherent intelligence that evolved in nature and that we should learn to read and interpret again, just like many animals can. We should remember that for many hundreds of years we used to rely on experience-based medicine knowing which herbs and plants used to help in certain conditions. Only in recent history did we move away from that toward a more scientific evidence-based medicine that looks at the effectiveness of single, chemically isolated, substances rather than the benefits of complex, naturally occurring whole plants that combine a multitude of substances in perfect relationships which evolved over a very long time.
Having felt the healing benefits of Reiki energies and being able to connect with nature’s universal life force give Irmgard the desire to share this experience with others. Irmgard will now be available to provide Reiki treatments here at Fern Life Center.
